Freedom Skatepark, Jamaica's inaugural street skatepark, is situated in Bull Bay, adjacent to the Bull Bay Football Club, approximately 8 miles away from Kingston. This public skatepark is open to all members of the Kingston community and beyond, offering free access to individuals from across the country.
The establishment of Freedom Skatepark was motivated by the tragic passing of Andre ‘Wildfiyah’ Thompson, a 20-year-old Jamaican skateboarder whose life was cut short in 2009. Andre had recently gained attention for his involvement in the mini-documentary JA SKATE, produced by LargeUp, which shed light on the burgeoning skateboarding culture in Jamaica during that period.
Open daily 1pm-7pm
