Location
Watson Taylor Park beach is located in the town of Lucea, Hanover, just 1.2km from the town square.
The beach is located in bay and is comprised of light brown fine grain sand extending approximately 73 metres in length. There are two bluffs along the eastern and western end of the beach, the eastern bluff being the most extensive. Some sections of the nearshore are rocky (old reef formations), there are also some that protrude along the sandy areas of the beach near the high water mark.
The beach has several large trees on the property as well as coastal grasses. Trees include West Indian Almond, Seaside Mahoe and an extensive mangrove forest. Seagrass beds are located directly within the swim area.
