Location
Spring Gardens is a public recreational beach located on Spring Gardens and Orange Bay main road in Portland.
The beach consists of cobblestones of various sizes which makes it difficult to walk on. There are several coconut trees, West Indian Almond as well as coastal grasses on the beach. The wave’s energy is generally high with a strong rip current.
The beach is easily accessible as it is directly adjacent to the main road. Limited undesignated space is available to accommodate small vehicles.
Spring Gardens Beach has concrete benches and tables to accommodate dining. The beach is fit for swimming and strolling. Patrons can also explore the Blue Mountain National Park and Windsor Castle within the area.
