Overview

Firefly was the home of British Playwright Noel Coward. Henry Morgan, the renowned pirate, gave it the original name "Look Out" because that was its intended usage. While on a trip across the area, Noel Coward happened upon the location.

Afterwards, he bought the land and constructed the house that is currently there. The tiny sparkling insects that could be observed on the land led him to nickname it Firefly Hill. Having written many of his well-known plays at Firefly, Coward passed away there at the age of 74. He was laid to rest in his beloved spot at Firefly.
