Location
Dead End Beach is a popular public beach located in Montego Bay, approximately north of Gloucester Avenue. Dead End Beach, also known as Buccaneer Beach, is a convenient place to experience a real Jamaican beach. Just across from Dead End Bar, it's essentially a narrow stretch of white sand across a concrete barrier at the end of a road. Dead End is not your typical tourist beach, although the white sand does lead to reasonably tranquil blue seas.
The main reasons people gather there are to mingle or to see the stunning sun set over the bay. Witnessing and taking pictures of low-flying aircraft landing at the adjacent airport is an exciting experience. Enjoy a cold drink or a game of pool at the Dean End Bar across the street. Although there aren't any restrooms here, you might be able to use one of the surrounding businesses' facilities.
